Science vs Faith? Our next Anniversary Talk by Rev Dr Andrew Pinsent

 In Chaplaincy News

Everyone is welcome to this public lecture which forms part of the 50th Anniversary Celebrations at Newman House Catholic Chaplaincy – this Monday, 23 Jan, at 7pm.

Dr Andrew Pinsent is Research Director of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion at Oxford University. He formally worked in particle physics on the DELPHI experiment at CERN and is today a Catholic priest. He will explore the topic: “Science vs Faith? Is it rational to believe? Is it rational to be an atheist? Does science disprove faith? Can you be a good scientist and a believing Christian at the same time? How can science and faith speak to each other in a constructive way?”

The lecture and discussion will finish at 8.15pm, and will be followed by a glass of wine and some social time.
